Our Pledge
We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, color, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.
Our Standards
Examples of expected and requested behavior
- Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward other people.
- Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences.
- Exercising consideration and respect in your speech and actions.
- Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback.
- Accepting responsibility and apologizing to those affected by our mistakes, and learning from the experience.
- Focusing on what is best not just for us as individuals, but for the overall community.
- Participating in an authentic and active way. In doing so, you contribute to the health and longevity of this community.
- Being mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow participants. Alert community leaders if you notice a dangerous situation, someone in distress, or violations of this Code of Conduct, even if they seem inconsequential.
Examples of unacceptable behavior
- Violence, threats of violence or violent language directed against another person.
- Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or otherwise discriminatory jokes and language.
- Posting or displaying sexually explicit or violent material.
- Using of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind.
- Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
- Trolling, derogatory comments and personal or political attacks.
- Personal insults, particularly those related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or disability.
- Public or private harassment, microaggressions or dismissive behavior.
- Inappropriate photography or recording.
- Inappropriate physical contact. You should have someone’s consent before touching them.
- Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes, sexualized comments or jokes; inappropriate touching, groping, and unwelcomed sexual advances.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking or following (online or in person).
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
- Sustained disruption of community activities and events, including talks and presentations.
- Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.
Scope
This Code of Conduct applies to everyone within all community spaces (online and in person) and also applies when an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces. Examples of representing our community include using an official e-mail address, posting via an official social media account, or acting as an appointed representative at an online or offline event.
Enforcement Responsibilities
Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
Community leaders have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject comments, commits, code, issues, and other contributions that are not aligned to the Rebel Code of Conduct, and will communicate the reasons for moderation decisions.
Enforcement
Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior should be reported to the community leaders responsible for enforcement at conduct@rebeltoolbox.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.
All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior from any community member, including sponsors and those with decision-making authority, will not be tolerated. Community leaders will keep a record of any and all violations to the Code of Conduct.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
If a community member engages in unacceptable behavior, the community leaders may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a temporary ban or permanent expulsion from the community without warning.
